Simon Kirby MP asks Secretary of State to take further action on rail misery

Simon Kirby, Member of Parliament for Brighton Kemptown & Peacehaven has today written to the Secretary of State for Transport, Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP following the latest announcement from the Rail Unions that there will be even more industrial action in the run up to Christmas and in the New Year.

 

Simon, has been in constant contact with Ministers regarding the ongoing problems with Southern trains and following this latest announcement, has asked the Secretary of State if there is anything further he can do to help hard pressed commuters in Brighton Kemptown & Peacehaven. 

 

Simon said, “This situation has been going on for months and commuters are frustrated and angry and have had enough. I continue to urge the Unions to work together with Southern to resolve the dispute and call off any industrial action.”
